REGENETEN Implant?
Treatment For Rotator Cuff Injury
The rotator cuff is the most important structure in the shoulder. It is comprised of four muscles and tendons which form the shoulder socket, which are the most commonly injured shoulder structure requiring surgery.
Arthroscopic surgery has been very successful at eliminating pain and restoring function for patients, but tendon healing has been inconsistent despite our success with surgery.Improved tendon healing has been the center of research focus for decades. Now surgeons have a proven tool that induces tendon healing and improves the strength of repaired tendons.
The proven results with the Regeneten Bioinductive Implant are rapidly changing how surgeons treat rotator cuff injuries.

Dr. Roache, MD on “Why Regeneten”
Specializing specifically in rotator cuff surgery, Dr. Roache is a leader in using this revolutionary new patch to heal partial and complete rotator cuff tears. He currently speaks at Surgical conferences on regenetin bioinductive implant and the “cable first” approach because of the remarkable decreases in post operative pain and complications. Please connect with him directly if you have any interest in this approach.
The additional benefits are:
- Decrease post-operative pain, with a focus on opiate sparing pathways.
- Lowers the patient’s rehabilitation time.
- Facilitate a faster return to work and daily activities.
- Strengthen the actual rotator cuff tendon.
What is Regeneten Bioinductive Implant?
The Regeneten Bioinductive Implant is now the state-of-the-art in rotator cuff surgery. It is a collagen patch processed from a bovine achilles tendon. Collagen is the fundamental element that gives the tendons their strength.
Regeneten bioinductive implant: a collagen patch which increases tendon regeneration, which is revolutionizing rotator cuff surgery.
During arthroscopic surgery the injured area of the rotator cuff tendon is cleaned, and if completely torn, repaired. The patch is placed over the injured area to stimulate the biology in tendon healing. In a few weeks the patch begins to integrate into the injured area inducing healing and strengthening the tendon.
After treatment with the Regeneten Bioinductive Implant (patch) many patients have far less pain and recover full motion more rapidly.
In the majority of cases, they return to full activities of work and daily life as early as four weeks for non-repairs and by 3 to 4 months for repaired tendons.
